These long yet light earrings are a mix of symbols-- the tiny lotus flower, pentagram and crescent moon. They are 2.5" long or 6.5cm and hang from hypoallergenic niobium ear wires which are perfect for sensitive ears.
The pentagram is the most well known symbol of the witch--it's five interlocking arms representing, the four elements of fire, water, air and earth as well as the spirit aspect. It is protective while also being a way for one witch to know another. Merry meet!
I have named these after the bird's foot trefoil, or the lotus corniculatus, a Scottish wildflower sometimes called crow's foot (Craw's taes in Scots) or devil's claw because of the claw-shape of the seeds. It has been used as a dye plant and many species of bees in Scotland are dependant on its pollen.
All my jewellery is made by hand by my partner Mike and myself in a converted 18th century naval school on the wild North coast of Scotland. All pieces come gift wrapped.
