A delicate chain of wire wrapped freshwater pearls forms this rustic, elegant necklace. The closure is a traditional serpent or M clasp which can be worn in the front or the back and is a nod to traditional Old Norse metalwork. I've added a small, double-sided fine silver tag embossed with a floral compass in honour of the four corners-- east, west, south and north or the four dark elves that hold up the world at these cardinal points-- Austri, Vestri, Sudri and Nordi. The pearls are brilliant, glistening freshwater of the highest quality, salvaged from a vintage necklace. No mussels or other living creatures were harmed in the making of this necklace.
Perfect for a rustic wedding or handfasting-- a special piece that can be enjoyed again and again after your special day.
This necklace measures 17" long.
