This beautiful goldstone pendant has been set in a hand forged copper and fine silver bezel which hangs from a beaded chain of nacreous, vintage Czech glass beads and copper plated brass. A tiny Swarovski crystal tassel adorns the base of the pendant which has been blackened. The necklace measures 16" or 41cm long and closes with my bird mother clasp inspired by ancient bird goddess iconography.
I love how goldstone resembles a starry night up here in the far North! I have named this necklace after the Norse goddess of the night, Nótt. Goldstone is actually glass-- it's said that it was invented by alchemists who produced it while trying to create gold.
All my jewellery is made by hand by my partner Mike and myself in a converted 18th century naval school on the wild North coast of Scotland. All pieces come gift wrapped.
