The Mina Harker Vampire Hunter Crucifix Necklace: serious slayers know vampires don't sparkle in the sun, and if you're going into a lair you want to be prepared. One crucifix just won't do. Here you have five, all salvaged from vintage rosaries, hanging from a hand wrapped, beaded chain of fire-polished Czech glass beads. The collection of vintage rosaries range in age from the late 1800s to the midcentury. They are made of brass with varying patinas, one is silver plated brass also with a patina. The crosses are interspersed with large aurora borealis finished, fire polished jet black beads, another rosary fragment. The beads on the rest of the chain are the most beautiful amber darkened with a deep iridescent blue. This necklace looks equally fascinating worn reversed, where the abstracted silver crosses and small nails show.
This version of my Mina Harker necklace reminded me of my dark nights wandering Vienna-- it's not hard to imagine Mina Harker-- more in her Dodie Belamy/Alan Moore aspect than Stoker's, doing the same.
Necklace measures 19” including the brass filigree toggle closure. Largest center crucifix measures 1 1/2".
