A Fox mask pendant and full moon of mother of pearl hang from a Victorian inspired scrollwork connector, flanked by a pair of rustic, Picasso finished Czech glass and carnelian stone links in shades of marmalade and deep topaz. All hang from silver plated chain and close with a toggle clasp. Necklace measures 16" or 40.5cm and will fit as a choker on many people. You can see how it hangs on my mannequin which is a UK size 14 with a 15" neck.
This necklace was inspired by kitsune, or changeling foxes. When I lived in London, the wild cries of vixens serenaded me in the middle of the night-- sounding like tormented banshees. Kitsune are shape-shifters in traditional Asian folklore-- with the ability to make fire from their tails and bend time and space.
All my jewellery is made by hand by my partner Mike and myself in a converted 18th century naval school on the wild North coast of Scotland. All pieces come gift wrapped with lavender and Scottish heather.
