Simple, elegant earrings are inspired by the red sky over the sea where I live in Scotland. I have paired rustic, deep red Czech glass beads with tiny African turquoise stones and framed with filigree. They hang from rose gold filled ear wires. They are adorned with little copper leaves.
They are 1 1/2" long or 4cm.
Sailors have a rhyme about the colour of the sky-- red sky in the morning, sailors take warning, red sky at night, sailors delight. You can decide exactly what kind of red sky this is, depending on the day you are having, of course.
All my jewellery is made by hand by my partner Mike and myself in a converted 18th century naval school on the wild North coast of Scotland. All pieces come gift wrapped.
